Funboy Lakehouse Photos???

Can we get some pics/videos up from this past weekend?

Camacho, I found you a t-shirt for your victory Sunday night: http://www.worldrps.com/images/rpsver3/news/Scissorscutshirt.jpg

(Jimmy & Camacho came back from 5 pieces down to beat Alex & I in Trivial Pursuit, only reason A & I couldnt win is because we couldnt land on that stupid center spot). 5 hours and 30 minutes epic match.

stew or no stew?

yah or nah?

I'll make it and prepare it

MANU FREAKIN GINOBILI

MANU ON JIM ROME TOMORROW!!! 11 AM CENTRAL

Always the Weiser. Never the light.

Not to complicate winter lakehouse 2009 any further, but fellow funboy danny camach has brought it to my attention that there exists a small establishment deep in the heart of san antonio (CULEBRA) that sells some cheap kegs.

They got:

Bud $90
Shiner Blonde $94
Lone Star $75
Natural Light $62

We stickin with the Bud? If we don't get any unanimous votes/posts to sway the decision we'll stay Bud. Just wanted to see if this piqued anyone's taste buds.

Retreat Update

Ladies, Gentlemen and Dan:

The time is drawing near for our weekend getaway. We have had some excellent comments in response to the last blog, thank you all for your input. In no particular order, and subject to change as always, here is a brief summary of things to anticipate this upcoming weekend:
  • Car Bombs (Baileys, Jameson whiskey, and Guiness);
  • Bloody Marys (Tito's vodka & Zing Zang mix);
  • Keg of Budweiser beer;*
  • BBQ (brisket and/or ribs), hamburgers and/or steak(fajitas);
  • Breakfast tacos (2x bacon, eggs, cheese, beans, pico de gallo, tortillas) and those delicious powdered donuts in a bag;
  • "Innebriated snacks" (by way of example only, mixes, nuts, chips, etc);
  • FAB & good times the likes of which will not be soon forgotten.

At a bare minimum, I need to briefly confer with the following people ASAP to make all of this happen:

  • Ryno, C $, Cervenka (collectively, the "SWT Graduates") (re: best place in San Marcos to buy keg of Bud heavy beer; ensure keg is filled);
  • Mety (re: further food suggestions, amounts; making it all happen; etc);
  • Alex (re: drop off/delivery of keg and tap to Ryno or Mety; further food suggestions, amounts, etc);*
  • Joel Goff (re: blunts, 40 ozs, and bitchez ) (oh yeah, and being so money, baby).

Look forward to seeing you all.

* Ryno & Metty, do you guys mind taking one for the Crew & filling said keg in San Marcos?!?!?

Wow Roger Mason did it again.

After I received numerous text messages expressing jubilation and excitement, I was happier than ever to be a spurs fan. The worries of not being a playoff contender for the first time in 10 years was replaced by an extreme burst of confidence. It was the spurs of old (fresh, resilient, experienced) that represented San Antonio last night, not the aging superstars that so many people have labeled them.

I am a spurs fan, hear me roar

Winter 2009 LBJ Crew Retreat

Fellow Funboys, Crew & Co.,

Assuming arguendo we're all still planning to meet down @ KDal's lakehouse in approximately two (2) weeks' time, I just thought I'd remind everybody that I plan on sponsoring the event (with some obvious limits). I've briefly discussed a budget with Kevin & would like some input from the rest of the Crew on any (conducive) thoughts and suggestions.

For example, I need to coordinate with somebody who has a keg and tap, as my arsenal was depleted some time ago. They will need to fill the keg with our pre-determined beer of choice at a reasonable rate (saving $$$ for other things) and transport it and the tap to Marble Falls. We'll obviously need a vehicle capable of performing such task. I'll front (or reimburse) the necessary funds subject to firming up details.

It also occurs to me that we might have a few sophisticates who prefer a stonger drink of choice (e.g., scotch, whisky, etc.). Don't despair, I will personally fill the order here in Dallas based on any requests I receive. Lets just get some sort of concensus, this will not be carte blanche operation for a full bar.

Finally, we'll probably want to get some food/snacks/softdrinks/etc. For sake of convenience, it might be better to do our grocery shopping in Marble Falls, but I'd like to hear suggestions (somewhat) in advance as to any special requests for our menu items.

If anybody can think of other issues, lets please post 'em on the site & get a discussion going. I'm open to ideas & want this to be a really great time to celebrate with everybody from the Crew.

Anyone wanna go check out these funboys next Wednesday?

Should be an excellent match up of two Western Conference heavyweights. With the Spurs just 4.5 games back of LA this would be a great opportunity to gain some ground on the overrated Lakers. The Lakers will also be coming off of a tough game in Houston the night before while the Spurs will be rested. Not to mention superstar small forward Luke Walton may not even play..

After a quick look on stubhub.com it looks like these tickets are pretty pricey. Lower level, 25 or so rows back start at $159.00. Center balcony are in the $115.00 range...

If we don't go, we should atleast form crew viewings in our respective areas to rep the spurs in this revenge game.
