And with the 37th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft the San Antonio Spurs select...

DEJAUN FREAKING BLAIR!

Malik Rose part 2?

Spurs on Twitter quotes Blair as saying: "I think its the perfect situation for me. All the teams that didnt pick me I'm gonna make you regret it. I'm with the Spurs. I can't wait to get down there to San Antonio."

Not only is he motivated, but he lead the draft in PER at 38.9 (Blake Griffin at 37.3), rebounds per 40 minutes at 18 (Blake Griffin at 16.7), and offensive rebounds per 40 minutes at 8.1!

This guy appears to be the real deal. He's 6'7" and a solid 265, so he's a little short for the PF spot, but his bulkiness and 7'2" wingspan should make up for it. I'm hoping this guy can be an instant contributor for us as we really need help in the front court with Thomas and Oberto both gone. Hopefully we pick up one more big with our mid level exception money.

I love the pick! This guy wouldve been a lottery pick if it weren't for his surgically repaired knees. If those stays repaired, then this guy is going to turn out to be a huge contributer for the Spurs! I fucking LOVE his motivation!!!

I didn't follow this kid in College so I don't know too much about him but it sounds like he will be a good asset.
