- Mahinmi is a talent. But he still does not get much done. 6 and 4 with 6 fls in 22 mins. Remember-mental is to physical as 4 is to 1. Knight
- Collison is really nice. I see why Holiday played the 2.
- Manu and Tony are going to make Blair's Christmas very special. He's going to be crushing guys on ballscreens and pin downs.
- Blair with the double-double in 17 mins.
- Collison can run a team. As Ben Howland knows.
- Julian Wright has horrible shot selection. At this point in his career, that's disappointing.
- McClinton just not a pg. Struggles as a playmaker.
- Blair can not afford to hunt shots after being well defended inside.
- Jack McClinton getting outplayed by Thornton.
- Thortnon filling it up. Shoots a lot but he can shoot. He'll be a nice Eddie House option off the bench.
- Malik Hairston playing well this half. 7 pts.
- Beaubois has been the best pure pg I've seen this summer. Until George Hill. Westbrook is the most explosive game changer.
- Marcus Thornton is playing well, defending and playmaking.
- Julian Wright has great activity. With confidence I don't see how he couldn't be in the rotation.
- George Hill was the 2nd worst player of all the first rounders last summer. He's fantastic now. Credit him, and his organization.
- But not surprising.
- Both teams have been practicing their team d. Impressive.
- He directed them to the right spots and then split the ballscreen.
- George Hill just had a monster dunk, but it was the least impressive play of the sequence. He set up the entire set by talking to his guys.
- DeJuan Blair. 1 minute. 3 boards.
- Hill is a tough matchup for Collison. Almost as quick, but way longer and very crafty.
- And then almost did it again, with a backtip steal and a missed layup that was dunked home. He has a nice and compact game.
- Thornton made 2 plays! Block and finish.
- Mahinmi is someone I've always been intrigued with. His lack of leg strength has always been a major issue. Just can't stay balanced.
- Thornton vs. McClinton is a good matchup too.
- Collison does a nice job attacking the ballscreen. Pressures the show guy.
- Collison vs. Hill is a good matchup. George can defend.
- Spurs Hornets.

i caught the second half of this game. ended up being a close one down the stretch.
george hill looked awesome. his 25 points certainly stand out, but from what i saw his ability to lead the team was his brightest spot. the spurs are hoping he can learn the PG position, and from what i saw yesterday he looks ready. he knew when to shoot, when to drive, when to capitalize on the pick and roll... solid game offensively and defensively.
next up, dejaun freaking blair. this guy was dominant in the paint. i can't wait to see this guy in an nba game. his natural rebounding ability and toughness to go right back up are something we've been missing on this team. i'm thinking he'll be one of the better bench bigs in the league...
and finally malik hairston. he put the game on ice with a big three pointer from deep in the corner. he shot well for the whole second half actually.
mahinmi, gist, and mcclintock were a bit meh overall. no real wow factor from any of them. we'll see how they improve as the summer progresses. i have high hopes for mahinmi and gist, but they didn't look to hot yesterday.
Blair and Manu (if he remains the 6th man) will eat up all second units
Hell ya! I love this Spurs team. I almost forgot (not really) about George Hill. With all that is going on, I guess he got moved to the back of my mind. He is going to be HUGE off the bench for us. And DeJuan FREAKING Blair!
yeah, can't wait to see manu coming off of a massive blair screen.
espnU played nothing but PITT games (basketball and football) yesterday and it showcased blair at his finest.
him and lavance fields had a helluva two man game going. blair was constantly rolling off screens at the top of the key and fields was finding him everytime on the roll to the basket.
if him and manu could have a two man game like that...
