Speaker Box

I ended up blowing my speakers last weekend. . . but apparently my battery is doing just fine. I now have the joy of replacing them, but have absolutely no idea what to put in. Pretty sure I can fit 6.5" speakers and would probably want the 3-way. Any thoughts or suggestions?!?!

Not sure if anyone really has any knowledge on this subject, i think maybe if you look into a Crutchfield catalog, you might be ok....i know rockford fosgate is what all the kids were using, but dallas, your 28, i don't know if its a good idea you're blairing your music too high

Measure your existing speakers and replace that same exact size. If not, you're going to have to fuck with modding your speaker case. But definitely three way speakers (covers highs mids and lows)

and sony has always been good to me

where the hell is alex on this post. this is his jelly

Got it. Yeah, I figure the cats at Best Buy have some sort of catalogue where they know the speaker sizes of most cars/trucks. I'll confirm nonetheless, that would be an expensive "Dan-style" mistake if you know what I mean (and I think you do).

3-ways ought to put out pretty well (get it?!?!), but no idea on superior brands for mids. I used to be somewhat familiar with the subs due to Ryno, C Money, C Park, Cervenka and Gucci, but its been a while! I figure we all rock standard factory hardware these days.

And Metty, I will never be too old to jam out for a tailgate Session!

Yeah get on crutchfield.com. They have a deal where you put in your year/make/model and it will tell you the size of your speakers, head unit, etc. Pretty much anything you get is going to be better than what you had.

Done and doner; I put in some 3-way Alpines for our next tailgate! Think we'll still ease off a bit on the volume thought. . .
