I am so sick and tired of being so sick and tired

Im done waiting. Im not watching anymore Spurs games this year until they can start playing like they have little thing called heart. Call me fair-weathered, call me whatever you want, but I just get too pissed off watching them and it is unhealthy for me to continue to watch at this point. I kept thinking and hoping that the Rodeo Road Trip would be the turning point, but instead it is just the same shit. I do not like this team very much right now. I hate Richard Jefferson, DaJuan Blair is starting to play like Malik Rose, Bonner is more worried about where to find his next tasty sandwich than practicing on his terrible 3-point percentage, not sure what happened to Mason, Bogans seems out of place, and this entire team does not seem to play with any sort of fire or motivation. In the 2nd half of last nights game, the Lakers just flat out owned us, outplayed us, and wanted the game WAY more than the Spurs did. They could do WHATEVER they wanted to do. This is WITHOUT Kobe and Bynum! There was a certain play last night when I just decided enough was enough and I turned off the TV, took off my Spurs wristband (which I had just put on hoping for a spark), threw my Spurs hat on the floor, and called it a night. This was around midnight, ..thanks for keeping me up for bad basketball. I mean, what the fuck is the deal with this team?! I am posting highlights from last nights game, from the 2:40 point on is where I knew this game was over. The 09-10 Spurs are not about getting angry when a team goes on a run and coming back from a 6-8 point lead with an entire 4th quarter to play, NOPE, that is just WAY TOO BIG of a gap for these guys.

I'm done. Not staying up for Denver on Thursday, dont care about the All-Star Break, and could care less about the rest of this Rodeo Road Trip. Until this team can start showing they care, then Im out the rest of the season. Great run this past decade, but I am about ready for a new look.

Boo Spurs Boo.

Here's a little something to brighten my post...

i'm with ya k dal. such a disappointing turn of events after one of the supposed best offseasons we've ever had. and we're finally healthy for once!

i'm still having such a hard time understanding how richard jefferson could be such a poor fit. i know he's a full court player and we run a half court offense, but the guy is a dynamic scorer that can create his own shot. his inability to get any kind of offense going has stifled the rest of his game. really missing bowen right now.

on the plus side of that, he gives us a nice fat expiring contract at the end of next season. with 15 mil coming off the books next season we could be in the 2011 free agent market with money to spend - unless the rumored lockout happens.

another positive i've seen lately is mcdyess playing very well as of late. he grabbed 12 rebounds in less than 20 minutes last night - 6 offensive. why pop didn't really play him in the second half is beyond me.. he's not the long athletic shot blocker we need next to duncan (that would be a combination of ratliff - who does nothing but block shots and move well when he plays / mahinmi who can't get off the bench even though he has limitless potential / and splitter who will hopefully come play here next year, but i wouldn't bet on it.) i'm still hopeful we can bring in a tyrus thomas or a samuel dalembert, but i doubt it. would you do a parker for baron davis / camby trade?

also, ginobili seems to be feeling it. his scoring has been up and his facilitating is off the charts as he's averaging a career high in assists. he's strung together more 20 pt games (except portland) than we've seen from him this season.

hill is another bright spot - if he can be what RJ was supposed to be (a scorer that doesn't need the ball and a solid perimeter defender) i think we can still finish with a 4 or 5 seed.

i still think on paper we'll give a team a run over 7 games, but we've gotta see some kinda commitment on the defensive end and some kinda energy in closing out games.

Its a rough year boys... rough year.

The spurs are stuck in some sort of transition phase. After years and years (almost decades) of being the defensive pinnacle across the league, the spurs have abandoned their foundation and gone to a fast paced offensive pack of un-hungry weaklings.

The spurs, at the start of the season, were exciting to watch. We DID have a great off-season and we were starting to look good when we were putting up a 100+. The only problem was the other team started to put up around 110+.

R-Jeff can't play defense, and i'm convinced the only thing he can do is slam dunk. which happens about once every other game because he is planted on the 3 point line and settling for jump shots. Get to the foul line!

Bogans is a bust. I loathe seeing him on the court just as much as michael Finley. He's not really THAT good at defense, and when the other team has a hot 1,2,3, or small 4, george hill ends up guarding.

I love dejuan blair, timmy, mason - when he plays, hill, and mcdyess (who has been looking like a rather spry youth these days). Tony and Manu have just been ok compared to their once all-star status.

I think we need brook lopez. The kid is a true center. tall smart savvy. He would make an excellent compliment to timmy. Resurrect the twim towers!

lets hope pop has a plan!

i would love some brook lopez. he's one of my favorite players in the league and reminds me of tim duncan with his quiet, but effective post play.

the nets are in a state of frenzy and i'm not sure how they could claim their building around him, so maybe he could be got, but it'd take most if not all of our young talent - hill, blair + manu or parker, maybe even splitter's rights and most of our draft picks. the nets wanted hill last year for "half man half retired" (lol d ho), but the nets are definitely worth a call.

Damn, cant somebody at least say something good about that picture of Dan "The F***ing Man" Rosenhauer and whoever he appears to be stripping for?!?!

Sorry, I just have nothing intelligent to contribute for the Spurs rage. . . I'm kind of sick of basketball too with the NBA Jam B.S. going down in the DTown this weekend.

Hope you Funboys are doing well & I'm looking forward to blowing it up in SATown next weekend for CTodd's bachelor party!!!
