Playoff Bound!

Screw the BCS mess, Division 1 (AA) playoffs start this Saturday with Texas State taking on #4 Montana (1pm central).

Unlike a really long math equation deciding who plays who for a national championship in the BCS, Texas State will be playing their way through a 16 team playoff tournment starting Saturday in Montana to decide an "outright" champion.

Eat'em up..... CATS!

Also, if the great state of Texas had a BCS ranking as of today this is how it would unfold (this is based on a very detailed and complicated algorithm I worked up this morning):

1. Texas

2. Texas Tech

3. TCU (sorry Kevin, without the 2nd loss to Utah, you would most likely be #2)

4. Texas State (only AA team to make the rankings)

5. Rice

6. Houston

7. UTEP

8. Baylor & Texas A&M (tied exactly with a .00015)

10. SMU

Haha. There is a simple math formula to be used that can prove TCU is superior to Texas Tech:

TCU @ OU in Norman - 9/27/08 7 PM

OU - 35
TCU - 10
Difference of 25 points

Tech @ OU in Norman - 11/22/08 7 PM

OU - 65
Tech - 21
Difference of 44 points

TCU held Oklahoma to the fewest point total they had ALL season and 28 of those points came in the 1st quarter. It definitely took us some time to settle down.

Utah was a fluke, even a Ute would tell you that. We win that game 9 out of 10 times.

simple math there kevbo...we lost, BAD, to OU...which you lost not as bad too...but that was it for us...we also beat UT and OSU...what were your big wins...or is it overlooked by your big loss...the fluke to the utes as it will be called from here on out...i dont know much about the bowl business...but i will put some calls in to see if Tech can Put it to TCU this year...

Well I just got INFORMED on this situation...kevin you were correct with TCU in the Las Vegas Bowl taking on ARIZONA...as for Tech cotton bowl and Ole Miss...unless OSU shows up and A&M makes it 3 in a year which i am not sure...i think they better get the 13th, 14th and 15th man out to help out
